Arecont Vision Debuts MicroDome G2 Enhancements and Line Expansion (ISC West)
Easier Set-Up and Enhanced Features Expand Application Opportunities
Las Vegas, NV (April 15, 2015) – Arecont Vision®, the industry leader in IP-based megapixel camera technology, is displaying feature enhancements and a new addition to the popular MicroDome® IP Megapixel Cameras series here at ISC West. The new MicroDome® G2 cameras have been enhanced with the added convenience of remote focus and three-axis adjustment to facilitate ease of installation and set-up. This is the second generation of the company’s popular all-in-one ultra-low profile MicroDome® family.
The MicroDome® G2 1.2MP model features NightView™ low light technology and an integrated 2.8mm lens. MicroDome® G2 cameras are also available with optional Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) in 1080p and 3MP resolutions.
“Small cameras are inherently difficult to focus, especially when installing in locations that can be a challenge to access,” said Brad Donaldson, Director of Product Management, Arecont Vision®. “MicroDome® G2 cameras are now able to address this by employing a remote focus lens module that still provides the ability to change lenses when necessary to get the best field of view for a particular application.”
All MicroDome® G2 cameras employ true mechanical day/night IR cut filters for excellent low light performance, with NightView™ technology on 1.2MP models and with pixel binning available on 3MP and 5MP models. To further enhance performance in scenes with highly contrasted lighting, 1080p and 3MP models are available with True Wide Dynamic Range up to 100dB at full resolution without lowering frame rates.
MicroDome® G2 features also include dual H.264 (MPEG-4 Part 10) and JPEG encoding, fast frame rates, on-camera privacy masking, motion detection, bit rate control, multi-streaming, and forensic zooming. MicroDome® G2 cameras are IP66 (-S models) and IK-10 rated for use in challenging environments.
